The need
The private operator of public transport expressed, via a tender procedure, the need to count the number of passengers accompanied by baby carriages or wheelchairs in the buses and streetcars of the entire fleet of a provincial city.
The solution must be able to integrate into an existing door-mounted image capture system, and communicate with the vehicle's on-board server.

Drawing on its expertise in embedded intelligence and real-time processing of complex images, Yumain has come up with a solution for automatic recognition of strollers and wheelchairs.
The innovative approach, based on deep learning technology, allows the use of 2D cameras already installed at the doors. This solution has also been the subject of a special certification required for all on-board bus equipment.
